Finding North American theses

Monash holds copies of some theses submitted to other universities. To check if Monash has the one you want, look it up by author or title in the library catalogue. For a list of major theses accepted since 1861 use Digital dissertations either in the library, or on the world wide web.

ProQuest dissertations & theses

Covers theses from 1861 to date. Abstracts are included for all theses since 1980. Abstracts from prior years are only available in the paper version Dissertation Abstracts International (subscription is no longer current).

Covers mainly North American theses, although a small number of theses from other countries are also included. For instance, in March 1999 there were only 9 Monash theses included. Only accessible to users with a Monash Authcate password.
