The Turabian style is a citing and referencing system based on the Chicago style - it is named after Kate Turabian from the University of Chicago who authored a manual to guide students in citing and referencing when writing research papers. See:

Turabian, Kate L. A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations : Chicago Style for Students and Researchers. 7th ed. Chicago: The University of Chicago Press, 2007.
The manual is available in all branches of the library at 808.02 T929M 2007
