Australian Survey of Social Attitudes
The Australian Survey of Social Attitudes is Australia's major academic social survey, which includes modules for the International Social Survey Program (ISSP). The survey team include academics from Australian and overseas universities, and is responsible for fielding the World Values Survey in Australia. The team also publishes the biennial series on contemporary Australian society and policy, Australian Social Attitudes with the University of NSW Press.
The Australian Survey of Social Attitudes team also runs the World Value Survey module for Australia. The World Values Survey project conducts national surveys in around 90 countries every five years.

The Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey (Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research)
The HILDA Survey is a household-based panel study which began in 2001. It collects information about economic and subjective well-being, labour market dynamics and family dynamics.

Australian Social Trends / Social Indicators
Presents statistical analysis and commentary on a wide range of current social issues. representing the following broad areas of interest: population; families; health; education and training; work; income and housing. Each chapter is supported by a set of summary tables including key social indicators which provide an overview of social change over the past decade, as well as how social conditions differ across Australian States and Territories. A set of international tables also compares Australia with 18 other nations.

Australian Unity Wellbeing Index
Australian Unity, in partnership with the Australian Centre on Quality of Life at Deakin University, regularly measure how satisfied Australians are with their lives and life in Australia. It investigates satisfaction with economic, environmental and social conditions in Australia, as well as giving ongoing insights into our perceptions of individual wellbeing.

General Social Survey (Australian Bureau of Statistics ABS 4102.0)
The General Social Survey presents data on a range of social dimensions of the Australian community, including aspects of social attachment and multiple advantage and disadvantage.

The General Social Survey
This is the major US Social Survey. The NORC General Social Survey is one of the most widely used and recognized social science surveys in the US. It has been conducted on a regular basis since 1972.

The International Social Survey Program
The ISSP is a continuing annual programme of cross-national collaboration on surveys covering topics important for social science research. It brings together pre-existing social science projects and coordinates research goals, thereby adding a cross-national, cross-cultural perspective to the individual national studies.

General Deprivation Index for Australian cities (Griffith University)
Suburban scars: Australian cities and socio-economic deprivation

The index used in this report was first developed by Langlois and Kitchen (2001) for Montreal, Canada and subsequently used by Baum (2004) in an analysis of Sydney. The index uses multivariate analysis to construct a dimensional measure of socio-economic deprivation and as such provides a compliment to the existing range of instruments.

World Values Survey  
The World Values Survey is a worldwide investigation of sociocultural and political change. It is conducted by a network of social scientist at leading universities all around world.
