  • ASIL Guide to electronic resources for International Law (American Society of International Law). Guides are available on a range of topics including the United Nations and Human rights. Excellent guides updated regularly.
  • COW Correlates of War, University of Michigan project to study war. Links to datasets, extensive bibliography of material since 1963.
  • Foreign and international law sources on the internet a research guide produced by Cornell Law Library (US).
  • the global site from Sussex University, UK, includes a 'global library' of online academic texts from the sociology, international relations, politics and anthropology disciplines.
  • Government views of Iraq includes many links to primary source documents relevant to United States and Iraq relations and the rest of the world. Prepared by Grace-Ellen McCrann, Librarian at Cohen Library, City College of New York. Excellent site for researchers.
  • International Crisis Group (ICG) produces a monthly crisis watch which identifies actual and potential conflicts in the world.
  • INCORE (International Conflict Research) is an interesting resource for countries involved in conflicts. Established in 1993, INCORE  is a joint project of the United Nations University and the University of Ulster.
  • InfoTechWarPeace After 9/11 this project "tracks the impact of IT on traditional statecraft and new forms of networked global politics." It includes many media forms of information and discussions of the world since 9/11. The website is organised by the Watson Institute for International Studies, Brown University.
  • International Court of Justice includes documents, publications and decisions of the Court
  • International relations and security network is maintained by the Center for Security Studies and Conflict Research in Zurich.
  • Keele Guide to International Affairs and Transnational Issues on the Internet a tremendous resource which includes many aspects of international relations research as demonstrated by its subject coverage on the opening screen. Maintained by the Dept of Politics at Keele University (UK).
  • US. National Institute for Public Policy is a non-profit organisation which analyses international security issues. It has a publication section which links to full text, also a useful set of websites. Not updated regularly.
  • NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) includes a useful section which links to all international organisations and institutions which are related in various ways to the work of NATO.
  • Project on Defense Alternatives (PDA) includes full text of research documents. Established in 1991 PDA "has sought to adapt security policy to challenges and opportunities of the post - Cold War era." Includes 'War report' which is very topical and provides articles on Iraq and Afghan aftermath.
  • Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) an excellent resource which includes access to current facts and statistics on countries of the world on many topics.
