Selected databases, Australian politics
- AGIS : Attorney-General's information service a bibliographic database which indexes all aspects of law from over 120 Australian, New Zealand and Asia Pacific law journals. Also includes some selected articles from major law journals in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Specific areas of interest for politics students are administrative, constitutional, environmental, human rights and international law within an Australian perspective. The database indexes publications from 1975 and contains full text from 1999 onwards. It is updated monthly.
- Australian Public Affairs - Full Text a bibliographic database that indexes articles from published material on Australian political, economic, legal, social and cultural affairs. Source documents include periodicals, newspapers, scholarly journals, conference papers, and books. Subject coverage includes current affairs, economics, humanities, law, literature, politics and social sciences. Indexes publications from 1978 and the full text from 1995 onwards. It is updated monthly.
- AusStats database of all Australian Bureau of Statistics publications from 1998. Also includes extensive time series data spreadsheets; the 2001 and 1996 Census of Basic Community Profiles and many general articles on Australia taken from various Commonwealth and State Yearbooks.
- eLibrary includes the full text of major Australian and overseas newspapers, books, magazines, pictures, maps and radio & TV transcripts. The Australian newspapers include: Adelaide Advertiser; Australian; Courier-Mail; Daily Telegraph; Herald-Sun; Mercury and Weekly Times.
- Factiva provides access to the full text of all major Australian newspapers including The Age, The Australian, The Australian Financial Review as well as global newspapers and news wires. It is updated daily.
- MAIS : multicultural Australia and immigration studies is compiled by the Commonwealth Department Library for Immigration. It indexes relevant materials from 1988 and is updated monthly.
