Romanisation

Korean language items in the Monash University Library are catalogued using the McCune-Reischauer Romanisation system. Users can find Korean materials on Monash University Library Catalogue enter either Korean scripts (한글) or McCune-Reischauer Romanised Korean.

To assist users in their searches, the letters that may be used to represent consonants and vowels are:

McCune-Reischauer Romanisation Korean

McCune-Reischauer romanisation

(While there may be a choice between letters that may be used to represent a consonant, there can be no variation in the representation of vowels).
