Obtaining theses
Monash University theses
The advice below is only intended for Monash students and
staff. Libraries please contact Document
delivery for a quote.
Monash University theses are listed in Search. They are not available for loan, however:
- A print copy may be available to view – check with the branch library.
- Place a Document delivery request (if eligible) to have the microfiche copy of a Monash University thesis transferred to your nominated branch library (include this information in Notes on the request form). You can only view the thesis in the library for a limited period.
- Purchase a microfiche copy (approx. A$20 plus GST)
- Purchase an unbound print copy (55c per page plus GST)
- To purchase copies:
o Contact External Client Services
o Note that there will be a one week turnaround time for copies
Theses from other universities
Ask library to borrow
- check Libraries
Australia to see if a lending
copy is held by any Australian library
- if found in Libraries Australia, request a loan through Document
delivery
- only 15% of theses we try to borrow are available for loan
Ask library to purchase
- send an order via your contact
librarian or supervisor.
- the library may purchase a copy of the thesis if it is available
for sale.
- sometimes it is possible for the library to purchase a digital
copy of a thesis.
