Document deliveryThe purpose of this service is to get the information you require for your Monash research, from wherever it is, to wherever you are. If eligible you can receive:
Monash University staff and postgraduate students - document delivery request procedure Libraries, see Inter-library loans - for other libraries Eligibility for document delivery
Monash undergraduates, offshore students, alumni, special borrower card holders and members of the community are not eligible for this service. However you can contact Library External Client Services to request document delivery services (fees apply). Request document deliveryRequests are placed from within the library catalogue using the Loan requests function, see Loan requests help Delivery options
Students enrolled in off-campus courses, and, staff at sites where there is no Monash library, have all materials delivered to them. Off-campus students living overseas see Services for overseas off-campus students University of Melbourne - a special loan serviceEligible staff and students may use the catalogue to request books from University of Melbourne (Parkville libraries only). Items can only be collected from the Sir Louis Matheson Library loans desk (Clayton campus). See Melbourne-Monash intercampus loans for more detail. Request thesesMost universities do not lend copies of their theses. Usually we will purchase a copy and put it in the Monash University Library collection. Digital copies of theses from ProQuest dissertations & theses can be obtained quickly. Read more about obtaining theses. Limits to the serviceWe provide research students and staff with material to supplement the Monash University Library collection. The service cannot be unlimited because we pay for items received. A budget is allocated for the service and each faculty is assigned a proportion of this. Students need to contact their academic supervisor or a librarian from the relevant faculty team for authorisation to request fast-track service or items from overseas. Need help?
