  • request material to be sent to your home campus by placing a hold
  • check your current loans via My loans on the library catalogue

Holds

If an item you would like is on loan or on the shelf at a different campus you may place a hold for it. When it is returned it will be held for you at the loans desk for 7 days only (uncollected items will be returned to the home library). You will also be notified by email, or SMS (for Monash staff, students only) or you can check in My loans in the library catalogue. Please limit concurrent requests to no more than 5 titles. Hold requests can only be removed by library staff. Find out more about managing Holds.

Please note: Library fines accrue for overdue items for all library users. Avoid fines by:

  • collecting a date due slip when you borrow
  • regularly checking your My loans in the library catalogue
  • see making payments for how to pay library fines
