Ethernet patch leads and PCMCIA card with dongle are available at most computer shops.
Your laptop may already have a PCMCIA card built in, so check your hardware configuration
first (see 2. below). You may find that you can buy a PCMCIA card without a dongle,
then the blue Ethernet cable can just plug directly into your laptop.
- You need to register your card address (you only have to do this once)
For Windows 95, 98, Me:
- go to Start
- select Run
- type in: winipcfg
- click OK
For Windows NT, XP, 2000 users:
- go to Start
- select Run
- type cmd (or select MS-DOS from the Programs menu)
- click OK
- then type: ipconfig /all
