Library user's survey 2005Survey methodLibrary users were asked to consider 38 statements (eg. 'number of computer workstations is adequate') and rate each statement in terms of its importance to them, and then rate each statement in terms of how they thought the library was performing. Where a significant gap appears (i.e. where importance is rated and high and performance is rated as low), an area for improvement is identified. >> view the survey questions (pdf 58kb) Some demographic information was also required. Responses were anonymous. The survey was completed entirely online. The survey period was 9 - 23 May 2005. This is the third time Monash University Library has run this survey. The survey was previously carried out in 2000 and 2003. As well as comparing with previous Monash University Library survey results, the results are also compared to results of 38 other participating university libraries in Australia and New Zealand.
