"Overall happy with the Caulfield library and the fact that most of it is covered by the wireless network is very useful."

"Peninsula Library has improved a lot since I started my course specially the availability of wireless network in both levels."

"I would like more computers for everyone to use including laptop benches with comfortable seating (unlike the eng. comp. labs)."

“IT desk located in library is excellent service”

  • We are improving our facilities for laptop users
Wireless has now been installed in all of our libraries and as refurbishments occur, study desks with power outlets and laptop locking facilities are being installed.  Examples of facilities can be viewed at the Hargrave-Andrew Library.
  • We are working with ITS and Student and Staff Services to improve our IT services
The Library, ITS and Student and Staff Services are working collaboratively to improve IT services to students.  The library is moving towards a Learning Commons rich in technology and help services.  Roaming help will be trialled at Berwick, Caulfield, and Hargrave-Andrew libraries to provide on-the-spot assistance.

"The library is continuously looking at ways to improve computer facilities and improve IT services to users. In the future learning commons will provide a mix of ITS and library services and facilities".

Janette Burke, Library Director, Information Systems
