  • We are installing more high volume printers
    We have recently installed new printers (55 copies per minute) at Hargrave-Andrew and the Caulfield libraries. New printers have also been installed at Peninsula and Pharmacy libraries.
  • We are working with ITS to investigate a single printing and photocopying solution
    We know that it is difficult to deal with two printing systems, but the library and ITS are working together to find a solution.  The systems are complex and operate in a complex environment, so it may take a year or two to resolve but we are working on it.  We are also investigating printing from laptops and hope to be able to do this soon.

    We like the idea of an express printing service, so will look into this as a possibility, particularly at our busiest libraries.

"Printing is a huge issue in the library and we continue to review the situation.  We are also working with ITS reviewing our current printing debit system with a view to providing a seamless printing in the future".
