Notes: A collection of 151 narrative and analytical studies and reports summarized from interviews begun in early 1951 by Army historians. The interviews were conducted with all military ranks among the Korean War's participants for close-up documentation of recent actions. Some of the reports were designated after-action reports, focusing closely on small units in detail. The studies, on the other hand, reviewed broad aspects of the war effort, and thus were not limited to the actions of a particular unit. In either case they were classified "secret" and mimeographed in very limited numbers.
