Library users survey: overall satisfaction is up
Overall satisfaction among Monash University Library users has risen to 75.3% in 2007 from 73.5% in 2005, according to results of the 2007 Library users survey.

2006 Census results now available
The first results from the 2006 Census are available now on the Australian Bureau of Statistics webpage. To complement this information, Monash University Library has a complete collection of Commonwealth census data from 1901 onwards and similar data from the colonial period.

The Monash University Library Annual Report 2006 is available online. The report highlights new developments including the opening of the redeveloped Berwick Library Learning and Commons, and tracks the year’s achievements in relation to the Library’s strategic plan.

Monash students and staff now have immediate access from the Library’s website to the Australian testimonies in the Visual History Archiveof the USC Shoah Foundation Institute.

Library closes for Easter 6-10 April 2007

Loss of access to Fin Review and BRW
The publisher, Fairfax, has withdrawn full text access to The Australian Financial Review and the Business Review Weekly from the Factiva database. Currently there is no other suitable online alternative available to the Library.

New Library and Learning Commons building for Monash South Africa
A new three-story Library and Learning Commons building was officially opened on the Monash South Africa campus, on Friday 23 February 2007. The building has been designed and positioned to be the focal point of the campus in the future.

Pharmacy Library has moved to 407 Royal Parade
Pharmacy Library relocated to the ground floor of 407 Royal Parade January 2007. This move was in preparation for the refurbishment of the library’s existing space in the Manning Building which will take place during 2007.
