Bright new design for catalogue
A modern easy to use interface has been introduced for the library
catalogue. The redesign of the catalogue is the result of a 3-round
usability study in which students and staff were tested to find
ways in which using the catalogue could be made more user-friendly.

A valuable 18th century engraving of the
famous writer Jonathan Swift has been donated to the Monash University
Library.

Historic legal and political documents online for first
time
A major new database, The Making of Modern Law, provides access
to facsimile images of documents from the nineteenth and early
twentieth centuries, and will be of interest to researchers in
politics and history as well as law.

New from ePress - 'Struggle Country'- dreams and reality
of bush life
'Struggle Country: The Rural Ideal in Twentieth Century Australia',
a new book examining Australia's rural history and how the dream
of country living diverged from the reality, was published by Monash
University ePress on 17 October 2005.

Berwick Library to undergo transformation
Services on the Berwick campus are about to be
transformed, with refurbishment of the Berwick Library to
