Australia's official statistical organisation. Check here for the current
figures on population, CPI, employment, GDP, etc. AusStats (restricted
to Monash students and staff) is a web based information service
providing the ABS' full standard product range on-line. Includes access
to more than 2,000 ABS Publications, time series data and tables (over
90,000 series in spreadsheet format), metadata (documentation of surveys,
concepts and data items), economic models and Census Basic Community
Profiles.
InfoNation
From the United Nations Cyberschoolbus. Has Basic and Advanced interfaces.
Allows graphical comparison of statistical data from up to six countries
at a time.
International Data Base
From the US Census Bureau, provides demographic and socio-economic statistics
for all countries of the world in table form for selected variables
over a range of years
