This is one of the earliest general histories of “New South Wales”, as all of the eastern part of Australia was known at that time. It was compiled from the accounts written by members of the First Fleet, especially Collins.

The copy on display is open at the title-page showing the map of "Australasia", showing the mainland as "Notasia".
