Japanese topsyturvydom / by E.S. Patton. (Japan : T. Hasegawa, [1896])
This is an example of a Japanese crepe paper book. They were published by Hasegawa for sale to Westerners. Many of the titles were Japanese fairy stories but this is a work explaining the differences between Japanese customs and those of the West. It includes chapters on “Food and table etiquette” and “Social and domestic habits.”
