Among the items shown are manuscript letters written by Jonathan Swift; a set of botanical specimens gathered by Ferdinand van Mueller for use in schools; von Mueller's own set of Flora Australiensis illustrated with original botanical sketches and watercolours; a collection of Restoration plays; rare travel books, cookery books, Australiana; Gould's Birds of Australia and Celia Rosser's Banksias.
