Direct export

  1. Mark the records you wish to download
  2. Under Search results:

    EMBASE.com screenshot

    • select Export
    • pull down Export Format menu and select EndNote
  3. Click Export
  4. Endnote should launch automatically, if not, select option to 'Open'
  5. Select a library and click Open. The references should now be displayed in a separate window.

Import

  1. Mark the records you wish to download
  2. Under Search results:
    • select Export
    • select Plain Text from Export Format menu
    • select full records from Plain Text format menu
  3. Click Export
  4. Save as a text file (eg records.txt)
  5. Open EndNote program and a library (File-Open)
  6. From the menu bar, select File-Import
  7. An Import box opens:
    • Import data file: select Choose File and select file from Step 4
    • Import Option: pull down menu and select Other filters. Select EMBASE(Elsevier)
    • Duplicates: select appropriate option from pull down menu
    • Text Translation: leave option as No Translation
  8. Select Import
  9. Records imported into the library are displayed in a separate window.

Direct connection

As of December 2006, a connection file for Embase Elsevier is not available.
