Direct export
- Mark the records you wish to download
- Under Search results:

- select Export
- pull down Export Format menu and select EndNote
- Click Export
- Endnote should launch automatically, if not, select option to 'Open'
- Select a library and click Open. The references
should now be displayed in a separate window.
Import
- Mark the records you wish to download
- Under Search results:
- select Export
- select Plain Text from Export Format menu
- select full records from Plain Text format menu
- Click Export
- Save as a text file (eg records.txt)
- Open EndNote program and a library (File-Open)
- From the menu bar, select File-Import
- An Import box opens:
- Import data file: select Choose File and select
file from Step 4
- Import Option: pull down menu and select Other filters.
Select EMBASE(Elsevier)
- Duplicates: select appropriate option from pull down menu
- Text Translation: leave option as No Translation
- Select Import
- Records imported into the library are displayed in a separate window.
Direct connection
As of December 2006, a connection file for Embase Elsevier is not available.
