  7. Open EndNote and select library, File > Open
  8. From the menu bar, select File > Import, an import box opens
  9. Import data file, select Choose file and select file eg ebsco-host.txt
  10. Import Option: pull down menu and select Other Filters.... Locate the filter CINAHL Plus (Ebsco), Bus Source Prem (EBSCO) or EconLit (EBSCO). 11. Duplicates: select appropriate option from pull down menu
  12. Text Translation: leave option as No Translation

Limitations with Bus_Source_Prem_(EBSCO) filter:

  • if necessary, the year must be moved from the Date field to the Year field manually after importing
  • records from this database do not have a tag for reference type, thus everything is imported as a journal article except those publications specified in the filter (to which one may add, if desired)
  • the '@' symbol must be manually supplied to any email addresses imported into the Author field
  • some manual source data parsing may be necessary after importing
