Promoting access and awareness of Monash authors' worksWe create a web page for each title by a Monash author which includes a link to the catalogue record for holdings information and a link to the Monash University Bookshop for purchasing alternative. The catalogue record of each book also links to other purchasing options or book reviews by selecting the link 'More about this item' on the right hand side of the screen. Collaborating to discover new titlesMost of the time, academics notify the library of their upcoming publications via the generic email authors@monash.edu.au which is read by both the Monash Authors team and the Clayton Monash University Bookshop. Sometimes, the Bookshop is the first to discover a new title by a Monash author and notify the library. Within the library, the Monash Authors team works closely with the ARROW team to identify other titles by Monash Authors that we didn't receive by email. The annual report of all publications submitted to the University Research Office that is gathered by the ARROW team is passed on to the Monash Authors team for comparison. However, while the ARROW repository stores all the works by Monash academics including book chapters, the Monash Authors archive collection primarily collects works by the authors or editors of the book.
