CD-ROM Description
This ambitious project aimed to bring about changes in participating students, and teachers and to document developments in teacher wisdom beneficial to the teaching and learning of science. Via the teachers use of short reflective stories we are able to gain insights into their classroom practice and follow their personal journey to encourage increased levels of interest and intellectual engagement for students in their science classes.

As many of their stories attest, their initial attempts were not always successful but all of the stories were selected because of the rich insights they provide into trials of innovative classroom practice. Many of the stories also tell of the teachers' attempts to encourage their students to seek real links between science content and their personal lives and to promote classroom exploratory discussion based on student observations of phenomena witnessed in the world around them.
