Contemporary Issues in Human Resource Development: An Australian perspective places the study of human resource development (HRD) in a contemporary Australian context. The text provides a more extensive treatment of HRD than has previously been undertaken in Australia by exploring the dynamic nature of HRD. Each chapter of this edited text has been written by a recognised expert in their field.

About the author
Peter Holland
is Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Employee Relations in the Department of Management at Monash University. His current research interests include corporate universities, monitoring and surveillance in the workplace, new patterns of work and strategic unionism.
Helen De Cieri is a Professor and Director of the Australian Centre for Research in Employment and Work in the Department of Management at Monash University. Her current research interests include the changing role of the HR function, global mobility and international talent flows, and the management of work-life issues.
