Book description
Rated by Alistair Paterson, editor of Poetry New Zealand, as amongst the best poets he's ever read, since Arthur Rimbaud. this collection of poems is rich in its imagination and unique in its resonance. Pooja writes of the complexity of human experience with an acuity far beyond her years ; she weaves each poem with a language that is both lush and simple, lending her work a deep, echoing clarity.

About the author
A passionate and brilliant poet since childhood, Pooja Mittal says that, for her, poetry is not a choice but a way of existence ; a way of seeing, of perceiving, of being intensely in love with life. This young, gifted poet is a product of today's connected world ; born in Nigeria of Indian parents, she spent her early childhood in both India and Nigeria before moving to New Zealand at the age of thirteen. After being schooled and naturalised in New Zealand, she moved to Melbourne for her tertiary studies.
