Book description
Georgiana McCrae, an artist, diarist, musician, emigrant, wife and mother, was born in London in 1804.  She was a member of the Gordon clan and arrived in Australia with her family in 1841 and died in Melbourne in 1890.  Frae the friends and land I love is an analysis of her handwritten McCrae Homestead Music Book.

About the author
The basis of the book is from Rosemary Richards Master's thesis completed in Monash University's Music Department in 1997, called 'Georgiana McCrae's Songbook of 1822-1824'.  Ms Richards current employer is the Victorian Department of Education and she is  the Humanities Coordinator at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School.
