About the author
Professor Michael Clyne is a member of the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at Monash University.  Professor Clyne is on the editorial board of thirteen international journals.  He is a fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia and the Australian Academy of the Humanities.  His awards include Member of the Order of Australia and the inaugural Vice Chancellor's Award for Postgraduate Supervision (Monash).
