A fatal conjunction : two laws, two cultures Joan Kimm Published by Federation Press (2004) |
Book description
In A fatal conjunction Kimm discusses the extent and nature of the
high levels of violence experienced by Aboriginal women in their own
communities. She explores its underlying causes, current policies that
deal with it, and changes that may improve these policies. Kimm argues
that current law and policy place too much emphasis on Aboriginal women's rights
as Indigenous people and too little on their rights as women.
