About the Author

Emeritus Professor David Roberts is a senior research associate with the Centre for Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at Monash University.  He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities.  Emeritus Professor Roberts is co-editor of the journal Thesis Eleven and his many publications include Reconstructing Theory (1995) and The European Community in the 1990s: Economics, Politics, Defence (1992).
