Book description
The pages of Burlap are laced with sex, love, violence,
and bravery. Young Burlap, forced to live with his aunt and uncle on
the East Texas frontier fights to survive against his psychopathic uncle,
deranged by a child molester when he was eight.
When he and his aunt Lil are beaten near to death and his dog, Brew, sliced
viciously by Uncle Luke's knife, the three escape to a cave where Burlap and
his aunt beseech their minds to forget their aberrant sexual encounter.
After Lil's death, Burlap loads his dog into a canoe and travels a river of
adventure and danger. Like it or not, Burlap and Luke are destined to
meet again.
