| Australian criminal laws : critical perspectives By Bernadette McSherry and Bronwyn Naylor Published by Oxford University Press (2004) |
Book description
Australian Criminal Laws: Critical Perspectives provides a critical understanding of criminallaws. The general "principles of criminal law" have traditionally been viewed as authoritatively setout or "posited" without reference to their historical and social context. This book movesbeyond that approach and through the use of detailed case studies, the foundations of criminallaws are placed in their broader context to provide perspectives on the law's development andoperation, and to highlight law reform issues.
