About the Author

Xiaokai Yang  is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Monash University and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia.  Professor Yang's research interests include international trade, economic development, network of division of labour, the Chinese economy and industrial organization. He has authored other books including Economics: New Classical versus Neoclassical Frameworks (2001) and Development Economics: Inframarginal versus Marginal Analyses (2001).
