In Freud's Back-Yard, Isobel Robin executes a beguiling dance along that uncertain line between the light and the serious. She has a very particular angle on the world that reflects both her age and her distinctive personality. About the author
Isobel Robin was born in 1924, in Mosman, N.S.W., and educated in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne. She is now a parent and grandparent. As a mature-age, part-time student, she successfully completed the Foundations of Professional Writing course at Holmesglen TAFE in 1984, and later a B.A.(Hons.) and M.A. at Monash University where she had worked as a secretary.
The poetry collected here has been written, and widely published, over the last twenty years.
