About the author
Dr Colleen Lewis is a senior lecturer in the Centre for Police and Justice Studies in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University. Dr Lewis is co-author of Civilian Oversight of Policing: Governance, Democracy and Human Rights (1998) and co-editor of the books Un-Peeling Tradition: Contemporary Policing (1994), and Corporate Management in Australian Government (1989).
