Library services to faculties

Monash University has undertaken a Strategic Cost Management Project to document and cost the services provided to each faculty by the support services of the university, including the library. As part of this project, the library has developed a series of service statements that describe the services that it provides to staff and students.

These service statements describe the minimum level of services that a faculty will receive from the library. The library is committed to undertake these activities and has consulted widely with faculty staff in developing service statements with detailed descriptions and key performance indicators and measures. The service statements, together with generic covering information and costs prepared by the university in conjunction with the library, form the Service Level Agreement with the faculties.

The library liaises with Financial Resources Management Division on the cost drivers that determine the cost of services to the faculties.

Faculties are welcome to give feedback regarding the Library's service level agreements through the General Library Committee.
