Message from the University Librarian

Welcome to the Monash University Library website. From its humble beginnings in 1960 in a room in the Vice Chancellor's house, Monash University Library has grown to become one of Australia's leading academic libraries, with multiple locations and a collection of more than 3 million items. The services and resources that the Library provides are the bedrock on which the Monash community builds its high standard of learning, teaching and research. The Library today combines traditional roles with an ongoing commitment to transformation of its facilities and services in order to assist the University in meeting its objectives.
